This policy explains what we do with your information when you use praxa.co.za or get in touch. In plain terms: we only ever hold what you choose to send us, and we do not track you.
Praxa is a software and AI consultancy based in Cape Town, South Africa. For the purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Praxa is the responsible party for the information described here. You can reach us at build@praxa.co.za.
Only what you send us. Most of this site has no form at all: the contact links open your own email app with a message already written, and nothing reaches us until you press send. Two pages do submit to a server, and both say so on the page itself.
On the assessment page, we receive what you type into it: your name, your email address, and optionally a phone number, a company name and a description of your situation. We use it to reply to you.
When a piece of work finishes we send the client a private link to a short review form. If you complete it we hold your answers, your name, and optionally your role, company and email address. Your email address is asked for only if you have asked us to draft something from your answers for your approval.
Nothing you write there is published anywhere unless you tick a box saying you are happy for it to be, and even then we send you the exact wording for approval first. Ticking the box is permission to ask, not permission to publish. You can withdraw it at any time and we will remove the quote.
We keep reviews while we are still acting on them and while any quote drawn from one is in use. Email us to have yours removed and we will.
If a client passes our name on, the link they send carries a short code. When you arrive we store that code in your own browser for ninety days and remove it from the address bar. It stays in your browser and reaches us only if you later choose to send us an enquiry, at which point it tells us who to thank. It is not a cookie, it identifies the person who referred you rather than you, and it is used for nothing else.
This site sets no cookies. We run no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party trackers. We do not build a profile of you, and we cannot see who visits the site. The only thing we ever store in your browser is the referral code described above, and only if you arrived through a referral link.
We use your information only to reply to you and to discuss the work you are asking about. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for marketing. If a project goes ahead, how we handle data during the work is set out in that project's own agreement.
We use a small number of reputable providers to run the business, such as email and file storage. They only see your information as part of providing that service to us, never for their own purposes.
We keep your messages only as long as we need them to help you, for example while a conversation or a project is live. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
